What is the life expectancy of my HVAC system?
It really depends on the brand, the way HVAC system was maintained (freon level, air-filter replacements etc), how often it was used etc. We would say between 15 and 22 years. It might work even more, but in this case you should consider its efficiency and overall performance, since it can significantly increase your utilities bill.
What brands do you install?
We work and install all major HVAC brands of Central HVACs (gas/electric and Heat pumps) and Mini-splits (Ducted and ductless).
What is a heat pump?
A heat pump is part of HVAC system and is installed outside your home. Like an air conditioner, it can cool your home, but it’s also capable of providing heat. It's all electric and doesn't need gas. Is a must if you have or planning install solar panels.
Do I need HVAC maintenance?
Yes. We recommend replacing air-filter every 2-4 months. If you use high density air-filters even more often then. Usually, if it's easy accessible customers can replace them on their own and save money. Overall system tune-up should be performed every 2-3 years to make sure system has sufficient freon level as it effects on cooling temperature (and heating for Heat pumps), compressor health and amount of electricity bills.
